Mood Munchers collection has been an extremely useful resource and a great starting point for the discussions with Heyshara, my 8year old son, who was able to understand emotions in a very child friendly way. The wide range of Mood Munchers opened up a non-pressurising platform for him to express his own emotions. Heyshara is now able to reach up to the Mood Munchers not only when he is faced with any challenging scenarios, but also when he wants to celebrate his positive feelings. He has now become the pro who explains to me that all emotions are OK and that we should accept all emotions that arise in us. Thank you, Amanda, for introducing the Mood Munchers to us!

Lenny seemed to take to the Mood Munchers really well. They gave him a new vocabulary to express how he was feeling and a method to identify any overriding emotions. They have proved very useful in our household.

My daughter Frankie found the Mood Munchers particularly helpful with identifying feelings that she hadn't realised were "emotions", and for communicating emotions that she hadn't yet learnt the name of. She said she liked that each Mood Muncher character was easily identifiable and related to a different emotion. Understanding feelings through the use of the Mood Munchers made it easier to see the whole scope of emotions as "normal" and therefore easier to accept and embrace. As a result, Frankie now articulates and understands her feelings and she finds it very easy to talk about them and explain them to us at home.

Henry absolutely loves his Jolt mood Muncher and he loves recreating the “shock“ face! Henry found the Mood Muncher toys very comforting and was able to talk to them, especially if feeling scared at night they. All positive from our side.

The Mood Muncher books, and the physical Mood Muncher character were both practical and relatable for Julian. He found the mood muncher’s approach encouraging, engaging and supportive. He understood that his emotions were normal and rather than feeling judged for his emotions, the Mood Munchers helped him understand why he experiences the full range of human emotions and how to regulate them in a healthy way. Julian’s emotional regulation has improved significantly, and he continues to use the techniques learned through applying the Mood Munchers to support him when he is feeling overwhelmed.

My daughter Megan who is 9 yrs old and is a child with dyslexia, found The Mood Munchers were an extremely helpful tool to be able to express how she is feeling in her play as she did not always have the language to explain how she felt with friends. She enjoyed discovering each emotion through the characters presented and to understand that all emotions are OK and do not need to be judged.
