That is Lockie coming to keep you safe within yourself by not speaking up.

Free Lockie is a story about a girl called Joy who is very self conscious and constantly concerned what others think of her. As a result she stays quiet in class not able to share her ideas. Through this story, Joy realises that she needs to free Lockie and herself to be seen, heard and valued.
